Located 180 km south of Salta,
and 220 km northwest of Tucumán,
in the Calchaquí valley, at 1,660 meters of altitude.
Cafayate is an important producer of high-altitude wines,
where the Torrontés (white) has a special place.
The landscape around it is astonishing,
such as the "Quebrada de las Conchas"
(also known as "Quebrada de Cafayate") and the
"Quebrada de las Flechas".
